Not a technically a workshop but join us for an evening of snacks, drinks, and garden talk. Bring your favorite seeds and join the seed swap to find new varieties for your garden, and share stories with fellow gardeners. Not into outdoor gardening? We are also doing a propagation swap that night too! Bring a cutting ( or a ton) and leave with new babies you didn’t have before! Anyone is welcome and if your’e into it all bring all the seeds and cuttings you heart wants and meet the plant community around here! This event is free but we ask that you please "buy" a spot so we can get an idea of attendance numbers!
Join us to learn about blending soil and how to make your own at home! This workshop will focus on teaching you about the different varieties of soil and the plants that like them, the importance of using the correct soil for your plants, teaching you to blend your own soil with components that will help make your plant thrive, and a tid bit on repotting practices.
This class will focus on the do's and don's that come with repotting, along with some fact or fiction busting! Learn the best type of pots and soil for your plants, signs of a root bound plant, and how to repot them. If you have a plant at home that needs repotted bring it and a new pot in to this workshop so its a more hands on experience! If you don't It will be more of a demonstration type class (which is still a great way to learn!) We will be providing our in house soil blends for potting but we ask that you don't bring a plant bigger than a 6in going into a 8in so theres enough soil for everyone!
Learn to build a moss pole from simple materials. Live moss poles are totally different than the ones you can grab at a store. These poles help to keep your plant watered, and actually create a space for your plant to root and grow into its support rather than you just having to tie and stake it! As long as you remember to keep them watered, these are a great thing to use for you climbing plants.
Join us for a hands-on propagation workshop where you'll receive guidance on mastering propagation techniques. In this class you will learn about two different propagation methods and some of the most common errors made when trying to propagate plants! Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this fun and relaxed workshop is perfect for you. Learn the types of plants you can propagate, what to do after they root, and then take home your own plant baby.
